Cultural Diversity Training

June 2nd, 2015
Cultural Diversity is a very important aspect of the workforce. With Chautauqua County’s population ranging from 9%-25% Latino, it is crucial that businesses understand potential barriers this growing population may face when searching for a career path. On Tuesday June 2nd W.C.A. Services/ALSTAR EMS attended a Cultural Competency training as well as a job fair hosted by Chautauqua Works and Chautauqua Tapestry. We learned about the 4 barriers to Latino employment and efficient strategies that can be successful when integrating the Spanish speaking population into our company.
